Pantone Pop

Pantone pop is a new art and music event at The Halt in Glasgow.

My friend and I put on a one-off version of this night a few months ago, some photographs above and a video below!

The night's going to run monthly on the first Friday of the month however we're launching on Sunday 9th November, how confusing! :p
The fundamental point of the night is to play with the room visually and to try to co-ordinate the music and design elements.  So we use two projections, one a pre-designed loop that's projected onto a surface that changes each month, and it's placed in different area each month, and the second projection is on a large screen on which live visuals are performed (we use Resolume to mix visuals).
www.myspace.com/theblitzkriegbop will have any updates on the event.

We want to work with lots of artists and designers, people will get very bored of watching my animations month after month i'm sure, so if you're interested in joining us and playing around with visuals email thebop@hotmail.co.uk.
I'm also looking to put on one band each month and *try* do a visual set to accompany the band, so again get in touch if you want to play.

A week's nothing without

  • big band special on Radio 2
  • magazines
  • a bloody good dance
  • reggaeton
  • a camera
  • the dark choolate in the blue packet
  • sex
  • salsa dancing
  • chamomile tea
  • honey roasted red peppers
